Ideas:
The idea I’m planning to go with is, to do what the lyrics say and do the actions that are sung in the song.
My thought was the song had a secret meaning so the hounds are metaphorical and actually means commitment
and when it mentions running away it actually means being scared to commit to someone. Therefore giving a better
understanding on the video and music itself by acting out what they’re singing.

walks into the woods with running gear on and puts his headphones on whilst the headphones get closer to

being in his ears the louder the music fades in then he starts running.

and cuts hiding behind a tree or building from bullies, Reuben hides and bullies walk past him. (Bully = Joel)
In the song every other eh uh oh part, a keyboard will be pushed with the buttons labelled with the sounds to make
it seem as if we’re pushing the buttons that will make the noise or have someone sing the words.
Next there would be a transition back to Jamie running and he would hold his heart as if he was in pain so it would
seem like love has hurt him and he’s unsure what to do so he shakes it off and keeps running
It continues with Reuben walking through a woods to and he sees Joel coming through trees as it quotes in the
song “it’s coming through the trees” Reuben gets scared and apprehensively runs
It’s back to Jamie and he stops and falls to his knees next to a river near to crying, he takes his shoes off and throws
them in the river and takes two steps in and scoops water with his hands put together and lets it spill out. Then
feels his heart (which pounds quickly)
The camera is back on Reuben and he’s hiding again but notices Jamie in the water and he walks closer to Jamie
in curiosity and Jamie waves for Reuben to come in so Reuben removes his shoes and throws them in the lake and
takes two steps in next to Jamie.
The camera then turns to Joel and he walks towards the lake and throws his shoes in the lake and walks two steps
in and the camera zooms out to black.
Equipment needed would be:
– 3 pairs of shoes that can get wet, preferably old
– An area near a woods that’s near a lake/river.

This location is good because it’s a wooded area with a lake nearby, this is exactly what we need
for our scenes with the lake and woods for Jamie running and throwing the shoes away.
Salisbury area
This scene will be Reuben’s bully chase and hide scene because streetlights will be around and it
would be late night time.
