Changes:
My idea was to have Joel as a bully and Reuben was going to be chased by him but I changed my plan because I thought it didn’t suit the song all that well. My new idea was to have a Joel as a singer and to lip sink the song lyrics as well as Jamie to, I then replaced the keyboard uh oh uh to them lip sinking. In the video it starts with Jamie looking around then gets up and starts running, this part I kept to my secret meaning where the hounds mean commitment and he’s out running clearing his head so he can think what he can do. My ending changed from my group being in the lake to Jamie finally coming back from his run to sit back down on he bench he started on. He also has a different coloured jumper on at first it was black then it changes to clear to justify his thoughts, so throughout the run his thoughts become clearer and clearer.
In my video I have people lip sink, copy actions to the lyrics, and run.
I see this relevant to the video as I explained I went with a commitment issue vibe to the song and in a lot of music videos lip sinking is used to seem like they are singing the song where they are, when they actually are not. The running also connects to the commitment issue vibe I created as they are trying to run from themselves to have a minute of peace at mind. In a lot of music videos there are meanings in the song which can only be recognised with the video such as : happier by marshmello and bastille, the song on its own sounds like a break up but with the video it shows a girl who has no friends, quite a hard life and a dog she received on her birthday was her best friend and at the end the dogs dies.

In my music video I’ve used a variety of different editing techniques from fade ins to transitions. As you can see on the far left on the green music file there is a fade in to the music this is so the music slowly weaves itself in and doesn’t start abruptly. Transitions are used on most clips where I’ve seen it necessary to put them in and places where it suits them others I have not. I muted the recordings we took on a separate music line so that they are not interrupting the song.
